Located in the Biomedical Engineering Department of the Herff College of Engineering at the University of Memphis. We are a part of the UoM-UTHSC Joint Graduation Program. Our lab is focused on developing chitosan-based materials for a wide range of biomedical implant and tissue engineering/regenerative medicine applications in the orthopedic and dental/craniofacial areas.
At the JDB lab, we work on a number of exciting projects. Some of our research includes electrospinning and spraying of chitosan, dental and orthopedic implant coatings, and injectable nanoparticles for drug delivery.
We have worked on collaborations numerous times and are always look for more. If you are interested on working with our lab in the future, click here to contact us.
In our lab, we believe in setting up mentorships between graduate and undergraduate students in order to help students get ahead in the research process. If you are interested in joining our team, click here.
